On 18th, July, Lieutenant General Stuart Skeates CBE (GBR), Deputy Commander, JFC Brunssum, visited the NATO Command and Control Centre of Excellence (NATO C2COE). He was accompanied by Lieutenant Colonel Aguilar (ESP), Squadron Leader Cartwright (GBR) and Lieutenant Commander Grantham (GBR). The DCOM JFC Brunssum followed an invitation from Director NATO C2COE to coordinate possible cooperation at the MDO C2-Demonstrator.
After an Office Call with the Director and the Deputy Director, The NATO C2COE presented the main current and future projects to the DCOM JFC BS and gave an update on the NATO C2COE mission and vision. The focus on the following briefings was to elaborate the Future of the Command Post study, presented by Major Frantisek Bartko, and the C2 Demonstrator Project, presented by Major Marcel Scherrenburg.
Lieutenant General Skeates expressed his gratitude for the interesting visit and his appreciation for the work done by the Centre. ‘This visit is the start of something interesting and guides us in the right direction which is better for all’; as concluded by Lieutenant General Skeates.
