The NATO C2COE congratulates Major Marcel Scherrenburg (Analysis and Concepts Branch) with finishing the Middelbare Defensie Vorming (MDV), or Intermediate Staff Officers Course at the Netherlands Defence Academy in Breda.
The MDV prepares students to function successfully in policy preparation and policy implementation functions. The MDV is an internal full-time or part-time training course by the Dutch Ministry of Defense for selected officers of the armed forces that have the potential to grow within the Ministry of Defense. The program offers competence-based education. The students further develop their knowledge, skills and professional attitude. The emphasis is on management skills, international security studies, military sciences, defense control and defense operations, military law and moral professionalism.
Major Marcel Scherrenburg is a Staff Officer and part of the Analysis and Concepts Branch of the NATO Command and Control Centre of Excellence, based in Utrecht, the Netherlands. He is currently in the C2 Demonstrator Project.
