Distributing C2 knowledge has been a part of our mission and vision since the inception of the Centre. This is why we support NATO-accredited Education and Training Institutes with tangible knowledge. The Comprehensive Operations Planning Course (COPC), hosted at NATO School Oberammergau, exemplifies this commitment.
As a Command and Control subject matter expert, Maj Ralph Dekker shared his insights on C2 developments within NATO with the students in this international setting. He stimulated discussion and encouraged students to adopt Multi-Domain perspectives in their thinking.
The aim of this course is to prepare students to contribute to NATO’s operations planning process, either as operational-level or functional-area planners, while serving within a joint operational-level headquarters. This is achieved by applying the principles of the Comprehensive Operations Planning Directive (COPD).
