The NATO Command and Control Centre of Excellence (NATO C2COE) was delighted to host General (ret) Sir James Everard KCB CBE on February 2, 2023. Sir Everard, former NATO Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe (DSACEUR), was welcomed to the center for a discussion on Command and Control and Multi-Domain Operations to further concentrate effort and support between the NATO C2COE and the ACO Senior Mentor Programme.
During his visit, Sir Everard was given a comprehensive overview of the products and work of the NATO C2COE and engaged in a fruitful discussion with centre members on current C2 topics being addressed by the Senior Mentor Programme, of which Sir Everard is the Lead Senior Mentor.
The NATO Senior Mentor Programme is composed of former Flag or General Officers, recommended by their respective Chiefs of Defence to the Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR), to support NATO commanders and commands as they train and prepare for operations.
The visit also marked the official kick-off of the production phase for a new series of podcasts about Command and Control where NATO Senior Mentors share the experiences.
