NATO – Allied Command Transformation (ACT) opened the Alliance Warfare Development Conference in Norfolk, VA, today. Representing NATO Headquarters in Brussels was Lieutenant General Janusz Adamczak, the Director General of International Military Staff.
The Conference brings together key representatives from NATO Headquarters in Brussels and representatives from most of the 30 #NATO nations to exchange ideas and information on some of the main challenges facing NATO. Alliance Warfare Development Conference’s theme is “Better Today, Stronger Tomorrow”.

This year the Conference focussed on four main topics of discussion; the long-term trends and implications of the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine, the ongoing work on achieving Cognitive Superiority; views on persistent interoperability challenges as well as practical demonstrations on immersive innovation projects.

The Supreme Allied Commander Transformation, General Philippe Lavigne, is one of #NATO’s two strategic commanders. Allied Command Transformation was created in 2003 to ensure the Alliance has the requisite thinking, capabilities and education and training to keep a military edge against any and all adversaries.
