The Research Task Group on C2 Capability Lifecycle Governance presented two papers during the 28th International Command and Control Research and Technology Symposium (ICCRTS), held from 28-30 November 2023 at Johns Hopkins University – Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel, Maryland. The group, including Maj Ralph Dekker from the NATO C2COE as part of the writing team, showcased two papers: “Challenges on Governing C2 Lifecycle Capability” and “Coalface Perspectives on C2 Capability Governance, an Interview Study.”

The paper titled “Challenges on Governing C2 Lifecycle Capability” received the Best Paper Award, underscoring the dedication and expertise of our diverse team.

RTG HFM-342 operates within the NATO Human Factors and Medicine (HFM) Panel Program of Work. Its objective is to offer guidance to NATO and its partners to enhance C2 capability from a lifecycle perspective. Endorsed by four nations and one NATO Centre of Excellence (UK – Dstl, SWE – FOI, CAN – DRDC, AUS – DST Group, and NATO C2COE), the RTG is active from March 2021 to June 2024.
