In this episode of the NATO C2COE senior mentors podcast we are joined by retired Luietenant General Tomiţă-Cătălin Tomescu.
Commissioned in 1985, He has held numerous command and staff positions and was responsible for the training, operationalization and participation of the structures of the Land Forces in multinational missions and exercises. He held various positions in international organizations, including Director of Coalition Operations and Deputy Head of the Strategic Planning Directorate at the Multinational Force Command in Iraq, Deputy of the Permanent Military Representation of Romania to NATO and the EU at NATO HQ in Brussels, and Deputy Commander of the Istanbul Rapid Reaction Corps (NRDCT), which is part of NATO’s force structure. He was appointed as Director of Special Committee in charge of the creation of the Multinational Corps – South East, HQ, after which he was appointed as Commander of this structure. After retirement in 2022 he joined the NATO Senior mentors programme with his Land expertise.
