On Monday, June 3, 2024, a delegation of the Japan Self-Defense Forces (JSDF) visited the NATO Command and Control Centre of Excellence. This meeting marked the centre’s ongoing efforts to seek cooperation with partners outside the traditional NATO realm, either as sponsoring or supporting nations. The delegation, consisting of the Japanese Military Attaché to the Netherlands and high-ranking JSDF officers, visited the NATO C2COE to exchange experiences and learn about the roles, responsibilities, and relevance of the NATO C2COE.
NATO C2COE Director COL Mietta Groeneveld (NLD A) concluded that the visit represented an excellent opportunity to share ideas and better understand each other, enhancing further cooperation in the near future.
