Meeting|

The NATO Command and Control Centre of Excellence hosted a delegation from the Japanese Joint Staff College, led by the Japanese Rear Admiral Tsukagoshi (Vice Commandant, Japan Joint Staff College) and the military attaché Colonel Tanimura on Wednesday, 3 December 2025. This visit reflects the Centre’s ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation with partners outside the traditional NATO framework, including both sponsoring and contributing nations.

The delegation engaged in discussions to exchange expertise and gain insight into the Centre’s roles, responsibilities, and contributions to NATO’s Command and Control capabilities.

After a welcome by the Director, Colonel Mietta Groeneveld (NLD A), and the Deputy Director/Chief of Staff, Lieutenant Colonel Rabia Saylam (TUR AF), the delegation received briefings on current projects, the growing role of artificial intelligence within C2, and an in-depth presentation on Cross-Domain Command in support of Multi-Domain Operations. The visit concluded with an open and constructive discussion.

“Our cooperation with international partners, including Japan, helps advance shared understanding and interoperability in Command and Control.” said Colonel Groeneveld.

We would like to thank the Japanese delegation for their visit and look forward to continued cooperation.
