On Friday, 5 June, the Command and Control Centre of Excellence hosted a morning workshop focusing on Operational C2 aspects and alignment within NATO and international cooperation. The session was attended by MA-students from the Netherlands Defence Academy (NLDA), taking part in a Command and Control course led by course director Dr. Bas Lijnse.

During the meeting, students received general briefings and were given a deep-dive into JADC2 and recent Ukrainian C2 developments. The discussion that followed covered the challenges of multinational cooperation, particularly around information sharing, the coordination of systems, and the use of allied sensors across different nations.

“These workshops are important for building shared understanding and improving interoperability between allies by showcasing the main challenges NATO and, in this case, specifically the Netherlands are expected to face in the near future. What stood out today was also the enthusiasm of the participants and how actively they engaged in the discussions. We would like to thank them for that,” said LtCol Rabia Saylam, Chief of Staff at the centre.

Workshops like these are part of the Centre’s wider education and training efforts. They can be tailored and delivered as E&T products for partners and other organisations. If you want to know more, feel free to reach out to us.
