Methodological insights for C2 capability analysis (Luft Ewing

This paper describes the methodologies used to assess the appropriateness of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) national Command and Control (C2) capability in Latvia. The analysis team leverages the Canadian Joint Warfare Centre (CJWC)’s C2 Assessment Framework (C2AF) and the C2 theoretical constructs of Approach Space and Endeavour Space applied to Force Employment, Force Generation, Force Support, Force Development, and Force Management. The assessment of an active C2 capability yielded useful insights regarding avenues for potential future development of the capability as well as avenues for future developments in C2 theory.
