The role provides valuable insights into multinational military cooperation and decision-making at the operational level. Additional, cooperation with military colleagues of other NATO partners and developing cultural alignment. Enhancing (NATO) military English.

About NATO C2COE
As NATO navigates an increasingly contested, interconnected, and digitized global environment, maintaining Decision Advantage is more critical than ever. Operating effectively across all domains (land, sea, air, space, and cyberspace) now depends on our ability to command, control, and connect in real time, across institutions and borders, with experts at the forefront of their fields. Command and control (C2) is a function in military operations and consists of the leadership and direction given to a military organization in the accomplishment of its mission. It is one of the most important functions, as command and control serves to integrate other military functions, including intelligence, manoeuvre, firepower, combat service support, and force protection. Command and control enables military capabilities to be employed effectively and efficiently. At the operational level, it involves designing and directing joint and combined campaigns and major operations to achieve military-strategic objectives. The operational level translates broad, sometimes abstract, military-strategic objectives into concrete, feasible tasks for the tactical deployment of forces in a given area of operations. The military contribution is planned and implemented alongside non-military actors and organizations, using a comprehensive approach designed to achieve the desired outcome. The NATO C2COE is a multinational organization permanently focused on specific areas of Command and Control, primarily at the operational level. In addition to capturing, creating, assessing, and distributing the Centre’s own C2 knowledge, the C2COE seeks to collect and share open-source knowledge on operational-level Command and Control to provide our audience with a comprehensive common picture. The Centre aims to publish a monthly feature highlighting information and articles related to the topic that may interest our community.
