In 2016, the world continued on a path of geopolitical change, leading to increasingly polarizing developments. For the NATO C2COE, the most significant event of the year was the annual C2 seminar, which tied in with current global events as it dealt with C2 in Emerging Warfare. This seminar in Norfolk was a great success, opened by SACT with an inspiring keynote speech. He was followed by speakers with interesting lectures on the challenges to NATO, now and in the future, and the consequences for C2.
