The NATO Command and Control Centre of Excellence (NATO C2COE) builds up applicable knowledge about Command and Control by contributing to all four pillars a COE can support (CD&E, Education and Training, Analysis and LL, Doctrine and Policies). By doing so, we contribute to 66% of Warfare Development as defined by ACT. RfS originate from ACT, Sponsoring Nations, ACO, and JFCs. We are involved in the Warfighting Capstone Concept, the Joint and some Domain-specific C2 CONOPS, FMN, the revision of AJPs and the JTF HQ handbook.
Currently, we are the Department Head for OPOAA alongside SHAPE J5 as Requirements Authority. We deliver an annual C2 seminar including a review document (2020 on Multi Domain Operations) and host several working groups (COTC and FinCon this year). We informally advise the EU parliament on military investments (deployment infrastructure, G5 and internet compartmentation).
Because of our independent status and limited bureaucracy we can develop at an accelerated pace on important C2 topics.

The Command and Control Centre of Excellence (NATO C2COE) was established in 2007 on the initiative of the Netherlands to create a group of Command and Control (C2) Subject Matter Experts supporting the transformation activities of Supreme Allied Commander Transformation (SACT) and of the Sponsoring Nations of the NATO C2COE (Belgium, Germany, The Netherlands, Norway, Slovakia, Spain, Türkiye and the USA; Estonia joined as latest member in 2013). We support NATO, nations and international institutions/ organisations with subject matter expertise on Command & Control.
