On Wednesday, 16 April 2025, Colonel Çağrı Aydın (TUR AF), Command and Control Branch Head within the Operations Directorate of the Turkish General Staff, visited the NATO Command and Control Centre of Excellence (NATO C2COE) in Utrecht.
The visit provided an opportunity for in-depth discussions on the Centre’s ongoing work, including how NATO C2COE operates, how Multi-Domain Command and Control is being implemented across both NATO and national levels, and the opportunities and challenges of cooperating with industry partners.
During the meeting, NATO’s and Türkiye’s perspectives on current C2 challenges facing the Alliance were also exchanged. This exchange underlined the importance of close cooperation between NATO-accredited Centres of Excellence and national authorities.
“Türkiye has been a key partner of the NATO C2COE from the very beginning. Having direct conversations like this helps us stay on the same page — especially when it comes to shaping how we approach Command and Control in increasingly complex, Multi-Domain Operations,” stressed NATO C2COE Chief of Staff Rabia Saylam.
