In 2014 the NATO has started a cooperation with the Ukraine in order to improve the Command, Control, Communications and Computers (C4) of the Ukraine national security forces, the ‘NATO-Ukraine C4 Trust Fund (C4TF)’. The NATO C2COE is supporting NATO in this initiative by providing Subject Matter Expertise (SME) on Command and Control (C2). As a first step the NATO C2COE hosted the visit of a Ukraine delegation in March 2017 to its Centre in Utrecht (NLD) and briefed them on the organisation of the NATO C2COE and the work that’s done at this centre.
NATO has planned to organise a seminar in 2018 on C2. This seminar will take place in Kiev, Ukraine and will, amongst other topics, highlight Organisational, Procedural, Information Knowledge Management (IKM) and Human aspects of an HQ. NATO has requested the NATO C2COE to support. The NATO C2COE will focus on C2 organizational aspects, roles and responsibilities and the cooperation with civil authorities.
